Performance Consulting The analysis phase is an intensive phase of the performance engineering process. During this phase, we work with the client to identify the desired performance, identify the current performance, and determine if a gap exists. This process often occurs through:
During this analysis, it is essential that we identify the root cause of any performance issues. Once a gap is identified, methods to reduce or eliminate the gap can be sought. After an exhaustive analysis of the various potential solutions to reduce the performance gap, a strategy for resolution will be selected and a plan developed. The plan will identify timelines for development and implementation of the solution, elements for inclusion, budget information, expected ROI, and other key information.
Development of Strategic Resolution During this phase, we identify key issues regarding the resolution strategy. If it involves, training, we take the necessary steps to design, develop, test, and revise the training solution. If the strategy involves re-organization, we develop a plan for implementation of that change. If the resolution involves human resource issues, we will investigate such resolutions and provide the client with a cost analysis, projected ROI, and a plan on how to implement the changes. During the development phase, we will identify any key issues that may rise regarding the resolution. If it involves change, we will identify who will be affected by the changes and what the expected reactions will be. Our staff will stand ready to assist with the change process to ensure a successful resolution.
Once the strategy has been identified, and methods for resolution developed, implementation of the resolution must follow. This is a crucial phase in the process, especially if the strategy involves some type of change. There is often resistance to any type of change and the approach taken during implementation is critical.
At the conclusion of implementation, we analyze the situation to determine if the strategy was successful in resolving the performance gap or issues identified in phase one of the process.
Maintenance The design and development process involves an on-going strategy of review, revision, and evaluation. The maintenance phase of the process occurs on a periodic and "as needed" basis. As new strategies emerge, technological advances occur, curricula are updated, new standards are developed, or new topics are generated, ILS stands ready to make any necessary modifications to the finished product.
